How to collect vintage cigars seriously (!)–Part 2

Welcome to Part II, this is Ray. If you have read Part I this will be a quick read for you. Nevertheless, I have one more valuable source, where to get vintage cigars that are not from Cuba.

My total guide is IV chapters all related to different type of rare, fine cigars: Vintage Cubans, Non-Cubans, Very old Europeans and rare new non-Cuban cigars.

Chapter II – Vintage Non-Cuban Cigars

Vintage long filler non-Cuban cigars are the one of hardest one to find, as there is not many produced back in the time and respectively not many survive.

Most of the methods from Chapter I are valid (except the Cuban specialized auctions), however there is one more place to add in regarding to that chapter.

  • Puro Trader: A website where predominantly people from the US post. Every day there are few interesting lots, some of them are auctions, some are direct sale with buy now price. The downside: there is not really an option to negotiate with the seller. The website gives you some protection which always is a good thing. I have seen many cigar shops post cigars here, especially if they are rare ones. That is one of the best sites to find some old and rare Fuente/Opus X cigars, which usually are sold out even before release date.

As described in Chapter I, all those methods and sources showed that it will take you good amount of time every day, but there is no free lunch 😊.

Light ‘em up and enjoy!
