Pete Johnson joins Light ‘em Up

At 22 years of age, Pete entered the tobacco industry in 1993 working retail in Los Angeles, California. “Tattoo Pete”, a nickname given to him by his mentors in the industry, immersed himself in the world of tobacco and quickly learned the subtle nuances of the business. In 2003 he started his own cigar line aptly named Tatuaje, Spanish for Tattoo. The blend, which was brought to life by Jose “Pepin” Garcia of My Father Cigars, was an instant hit and launched Pete and the brand into the spotlight.

Without Pete’s fresh style of branding, as well as his award-winning cigars, the cigar industry wouldn’t be the same today. The passion that started it all is still the driving force behind the creativity as Pete continues crafting some of the most memorable and desirable cigars for consumers worldwide.
